Secret to a Better Metabolism

Begin each day with movement.

After sleep, your metabolism is at its lowest point, your heart rate is low, and your blood circulation is slow. It is extremely important to kick start your day with some sort of movement. This should not be considered optional but essential for trimming the waist. Morning movement need not be long or drawn out, just 10 to 15 minutes of something as simple as walking or climbing a few flights of stairs will do wonders for boosting your metabolism.

Morning movement will get your blood moving, elevate your heart rate, and improve circulation. Each organ will function more efficiently due to the higher levels of blood that is being circulated throughout the body. This helps to promote better digestion and nutrient assimilation, which in turn aids in staving off cravings for junk later on in the day.

Ten to fifteen minutes in the morning will tremendously help to break plateaus and get you feeling better at the start of your day. Anyone can fit ten minutes into their day. If necessary, wake up ten minutes early. The point is, something as simple as this that can have such a profound impact on your daily outlook, your metabolism and your health is right at your finger tips. Stop making excuses and give it a try. What have you got to lose?
